Our Story

Hello!

We are so excited that you have found County Road Hat Co.! Here are just a few things about us ...

We are Matt and Jessica Deemer, we live in Liberty Hill, Texas on about 10 acres down a winding, narrow County Road. Jess grew up in Liberty Hill, moved to College Station while attending Texas A&M (WHOOP!! Class of 2007) where she met Matt while he was going to TEEX. College Station was our home for almost 12 years until we moved back to be closer to family. While Matt is away fighting fires and saving lives ;) Jess stays home with their 3 wild boys: Mason, Owen, and Carson. Jess has taken on the challenge of homeschooling, needless to say she runs off of prayers, grace, and coffee! You can read about all kinds of shenanigans the boys find themselves in. We are fortunate to live near family...like seriously close...PawPaw (Jess’s Dad) lives on the same property in their backyard. The boys love to sneak off to PawPaw’s house and eat ice cream and drink “whiskey” (aka...apple juice) while watching The Andy Griffith Show. One of Jess’s sisters lives next door, and the other two are just 10 minutes away. Matt’s parents and brothers live a little farther north in Waco, but we all try to get together as much as time allows.

Why an embroidery company? That is exactly what Jess said when Matt came to her with the idea. Well, Matt had tried his hand at a few different “side-jobs” here and there, but he wanted something with more freedom to be with his family, yet still providing a little extra income...you know since homeschooling moms only get paid with hugs and kisses. Jess initially said no way! However, Matt convinced her that this was something he truly felt would greatly benefit our family.

We are really looking forward to getting involved in our community and making great relationships with our customers. We understand how infuriating it can be to have bad customer service, you will not get that from us. We will only offer quality products that have met both of our “perfectionist” standards and exceed your expectations.
